Trust PCS for All Electrical Calibration Needs

Electrical calibration is in increasing demand due to the wide range of industries that depend on these instruments. Engineers, electricians, and utility workers rely on the results of electrical equipment including multi-meters, current clamps, ohm meters, hipots, megohmmeters, etc to perform their work accurately and safely. Every manufacturer of electronic goods utilizes electrical instruments to determine the quality and safety of their products. For this reason, annual or semi-annual calibration of electrical testing equipment is the best way to ensure product quality or, most importantly, safety.

When deciding which calibration company you should use for your electrical equipment calibration needs, PCS is your best option. We’re committed to serving our customers with accurate and precise ISO 17025 calibration services, and we operate with one of the fastest turnaround times in the calibration industry (48 hours or less). If you need electrical calibration services, we can get your equipment calibrated quickly with no compromise in calibration quality. Some of the major manufacturers of electrical equipment we calibrate include Fluke, Keysight and Extech.

Calibration Technology

PCS uses the latest Fluke process calibrators to source and measure AC Current, DC Current, AC Voltage, DC Voltage, and Resistance. We perform electrical test equipment calibration by analyzing several reference points throughout the range of each applicable unit of measure for the instrument under test.

In addition to Fluke process calibrators, we also use precision instruments such as the Vitrek V76 coupled with precision resistors to perform high voltage equipment calibration such as dielectric withstand testers (Hipots) and insulation testers (meggers). The list of equipment above is by no means exhaustive. If you have a piece of electrical or electronic test equipment that isn’t listed, contact us today. We’ll discuss your options moving forward.

On-Site and In-House Electrical Test Equipment Calibration

While we are known for our fast and reliable in-house electrical calibration service, PCS is also able to perform electrical calibration  on-site at your facility due to the functionality and mobility of the Fluke 5522A, Fluke 754 and Vitrek V76 test instruments. If you only have a few devices that need to be calibrated, the most cost-effective option is to send your instruments to our lab. We’ll turn them around quickly and get your equipment back to you within 48 hours or less. However, if downtime is not an option or your establishment owns a vast amount of equipment that needs to be calibrated, our on-site electrical calibration services might be your best overall option. In either case, our team is highly trained and will perform quality work with a turnaround time that cannot be beat by our competition.

At PCS, we provide on-site calibration services to customers residing in Tennessee, Virginia, Alabama, Kentucky and Indiana. If your establishment is near one of the following locations, we can perform your required electrical calibration services on-site:

  • Knoxville, TN
  • Johnson City, TN
  • Nashville, TN
  • Bristol, TN
  • Murfreesboro, TN
  • Kingsport, TN

Electrical Calibration Services – Accreditation and Documentation

All calibrations are traceable to the SI through NIST, (National Institute of Standard and Technology) and include “long form” calibration certificates with as-found/as-left data.  ISO/IEC-17025 accredited calibration is available upon request. We also offer a web based calibration interface, “e-certificates” that gives you access to electronic copies of your calibration certificates which can be viewed and printed at your convenience. Standard turnaround time is 48 hours.
